Jouko Lavonen

 

Producer, recording and mix engineer.

 

Jouko Lavonen was born in 1988 in Savonlinna.

 

As is the case with many engineers, Jouko spent his youth playing guitar in bands which eventually lead him to pursue a career in music. After first studying Music Technology in the Conservatorium of Turku he moved to Bristol UK to study a challenging degree in BA(hons) Music Production And Sound Engineering.

 

Three years in the UK presented him with recording sessions and visitations in legendary studios such as Abbey Road and Metropolis, projects with international companies such as BBC and The Bottleyard Studios and a wide knowledge in electronic music, synthesizers and an open mind towards experimentation in music.

 

Jouko is a recording engineer,  producer and a synth enthusiast whose wide experience in organic and electronic music helps the clients to create unique soundscapes and bring out the best elements in the clients music.

 

His portfolio includes working with artists such as: Elias Gould, Niko Ahvonen, Siru, Tuure Kilpeläinen ja Kaihon Karavaani, Antti Reini, ThisisDa, Pietarin Spektaakkeli, Aurora Hentunen Quartet, Sam Huber, The Migraines, East Funk Attack, Noita, Atomirotta, Ilmavoimien Big Band, UMO, Janna, Maarit Hurmerinta, Daivas, Matela. Jouko has also worked in the movie production of Ailo: The Amazing Odyssey Of A Newborn Reindeer.
